Messy thoughts dressed up with data

I have a few posters in my home showcasing cities that for different reasons are important to me. Those are pretty popular posters - take a look at Figure 1. For some time I wondered how such posters could be customized. One idea was to mark important places on those maps - places where I lived, places important from relationship point of view or favourite drinking places… But that wouldn’t be interesting as a blog post material, right?
